New and exciting prospect in the treatment of glaucoma.

Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) has brought a breath of fresh air to the glaucoma world.  These are procedures that are often performed in conjunction with cataract surgery using the same small corneal incision.  This allows for the preservation of conjunctiva, the transparent tissue covering the white of the eye, in case traditional but more invasive surgery is later necessary.

At The Glaucoma Center, we are excited to be able to offer iStent® Trabecular Micro-Bypass and Kahook Dual Blade goniotomy to our patients.  The goal of these types of procedures is to reduce the patient’s need for medical therapy which may in turn have a positive financial and psychological impact on their lives.  We would love to have a conversation with you about MIGS at your next visit.
